Gonzalo Calderón - Managing Partner

Gonzalo Calderón founded J.C. Marlin Capital in 2018 and brings nearly 15 years of Investment Banking and Restructuring track record, having worked throughout Europe and North America. Prior to founding J.C. Marlin Capital, Mr. Calderón’s experience includes his role as Senior Vice President at TSG Group, based in Miami, and a 6-year tenure as a senior investment banker at Lener Corporate Finance in Spain. At Lener, Mr. Calderón performed €4 billion worth of transactions for companies and funds such as Pescanova, IDC Capio, Hiperion Capital, Apollo, Fergus Hotels and Portobello Capital. He also advised institutional investment funds and top-tier clients on restructuring projects, M&A execution, LBOs and JV opportunities.

Mr. Calderón holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and an Associate degree in Business and Economics from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid. He also obtained an MBA from London Business School (LBS), with a concentration in Economics.
